During the past few weeks:
I have learnt about the settlement of Australia and also who had founded it. I also learnt that the British had used hulks for prisoners ever since their prison was overcrowded.
I most enjoyed the Humanities class on wikispaces because it was a new experience even though it isn't like facebook. It is a great way to teach students.
My attitude has been positive because I have been trying to have in work on time and enjoy the class and getting to know my two teachers.
My behaviour has been great because I have been concentrated but still getting distracted by my friends.
My interim report in the subject will I indicate that have I done my work, my behaviour and the effort I have put into my work.
The hardest task I have had to complete is the essay that Mr Reichelte gave to s saying what was is our theory, "Why the southern land wasn't claimed and settled by other Europeans?"
My workbook is up to date and all my work si neat.
My greatest strength is researching information about history, creative writing, map work and comprehension.
The two areas of my learning that I want to focus on improving are:
1. My understanding in work
2. My vocabulary in my writing and spelling
I am happy with progress in my work and my understanding about the history of Australia. -What is the most important thing that you have you learnt in Humanities in the past month? The most important thing that I have learnt this past month is the settlement of Australia.
- What did you do to help yourself learn?
I help myself to learn by concentrating on my work and be organised and be up to date so I don't get stressed.
-What did you do that made it difficult for you to learn well?
I got distracted by my friends or when I'm hungry and want to eat, that is when it's difficult for me to learn.
-Who did you work with? Were these effective (good) working relationships?
I usually work by myself but when I have trouble understanding questions or work I ask my sister to help and she will help.
MY THREE GOALS:
The three goals that I want to complete this year is that I want a good report, get a award and always get 90% on my maths tests.
I chose these goals because I want a good report and get award so that my mum will be proud of me and she treats me FOOD! I always want to get 90% and above on my maths test
because I have been struggling at maths and I want to be good when I get to V.C.E.
To make this come true I will study my butt off, try hard, put all the effort I have, be organised, never hand in late work, if I do I will complete it and hand it in on the next day.
Preparing myself for the future:

· The most important thing that I learnt is that making your own product and packaging is very stressful. This is because there are many idea shows to design the box, the brand name and the conflict that can happen in the group. The changes that can happen and no one will know, making a product is really hard and can up a lot of time, this isn’t just an easy project it’s something that will help us in the future. · If you were the teacher of this class, what is one immediate change you would make which would be an improvement? If I was the teacher I would put pressure on the class and always tell the due date of the project to the class instead of telling us at the last moment. · How do you measure personal success? My personal success is average and not high because I didn’t average much until the last moment and I blame myself. · Have you been successful in Me & My World this Semester? How do you know this or how do you make this judgement? I have been successful because I will get my project on time, I am proud of my group for working together. I know this because we have finished our work and I make this judgment because Of the quality of work. · How much time in this class is profitable (used for learning)? Explain Not much but we could improve if the class actually wanted too work instead of having fun. · What is one word you would use to describe your class? Mountain · What are your goals for Semester 2? I would give it 3 stars because I’m improving at my work, not getting distracted anymore and also I am taking all my teachers advice and I will succeed. · How prepared do you feel you are to undertake a VCE subject next year? I feel prepared because I feel confidence in myself, I would like to do maths methods next year but to do that I need to get a high score on my exam and by then I will be prepared.
Punishment on children:
1.I want you to firstly consider - to what degree can the law be too intrusive in our day to day lives? The handout I have supplied you has differing views on parenting and if it is acceptable to smack a child. Should the law be involved to this degree in parenting? You are required to write a response to the material provided clearly arguing your point of view. (I expect more than a two sentence response as this is a very sensitive issue for many people who have polarised opinions) I think that parents should give any kind of punishment towards children. This is because if children are smacked that could be more scared, they might not learn from and also you could hurt them. If this hurts children then the parents should look at themselves and see if they’re parents or just torturers. Parents shouldn’t hurt their children and even if it’s just a smack. According to the article 'Why I don't smack', Mrs Georgiou says that she never achieved anything, and it just made then more fearful. Also she says, "I used to think a little a smack won't hurt, but it's violent." So instead of punishing them you should use the advantage of treating them if they do something right and don't give them anything if they are wrong.

Even though most of our class tortures our teacher he never gives up, but then in return he lectures us and it takes up most of our time to work. So, it’s karma for both but I enjoy having class with my teacher he is funny at times and then it’s fun to criticize our teacher.
